On the way out of the city of Angkor Thom on the “Victory Way” is a twin temple, one on the right and one on the left side of the way: Thommanon located in the North and Chau Say Tevoda ប្រាសាទចៅសាយទេវតា located in the South. The temple are located close to the small circuit.

Restauration of Chau Say Tevoda

Both Hindu temples were constructed in the Angkor style during the reign of King Suryavarman II. In the 60’s of the twentieth century Thommanon and the western gate of Chau Say Tevoda were carefully restored. From 2000 to 2009 access was restricted as the temple was under restoration again, a project initiated by the People’s Republic of China. Chau Say Tevoda reopened in late 2009 and is now fully accessible.
