The streets in Siem Reap are full with motorbikes, Tuk Tuks, bicycles and cars. Although – or maybe because – there do not exist a lot of traffice lights, the traffic feels like a river which flows continuously. When you want to cross one of the strong traffic streets, then do this slowly without any stop. This is important, because the other road user calculate your going. When you stop immediately, you can mix up the whole traffic.

Hooters are only used to warn other road user. It seems to be the rule, that the bigger the vecicle the more a hooter is used. Especially they are used at crossings and by overtaking you can hear the hooters. So you can hear them nearly all the time.

No invective in any way

Enviable: Nobody rants like it is used to in other countries like Germany. And why should they – the traffic flows even when there is rush hour. Maybe because the streets are not full with signs and traffic lights and the raod user care of each other. And this with quite difficult circumstances: A lot of streets are actaually not tarmaced.
